  Could
there be a better, more confident picture of a guy than that of 6'6" British
rower Peet Reed at left? It's as if he's saying "I'm gorgeous, the mountain
is gorgeous, I climbed up here what more do you need?" That kind of confidence
is hard to find in a model. When many subjects are supposed to smile the freeze
up like a deer in the headlights. Almost of all of Pete's photos have great smiles
in them.
Ironically, the only photos that seem stiff are the posed "fashion
model" shoots. Sometimes having a pro photographer and lots of lights
and make up and fuss scares the talent and they don't look at ease. That's
why I try to keep equipment to a minimum and fix it in Photoshop later. Also, I'm
cheap!
