This page features pro swimmers ranging in height from 6'4" (1.93m) to
6'6" (1.98m) like 6'6" 225 lb. Milorad Cavic at left. You'll
notice that two of the athletes are photographed biting their medals.
Why do they do this? Is there chocolate inside?
Are they just really hungry from all that swimming? What's the
deal? 6'4" (1.93m) Paul Biedermann (born 7 August 986) is a German swimmer from Halle and a former 200 and 400 meter freestyle long course world champion. He also holds the long course and short course world records in these events. 6'5" (1.95m) 220 lb. Brenton Rickard (born 1983) is a breaststroke swimmer from Australia. He emerged at the international level in 2006, swimming at the Commonwealth games. He has captured multiple Olympic and World Championship medals, as well as World and Commonwealth records. During this period he was coached by Vince Raleigh. In 2009, he was Australian of Sport Athlete of the Year.
Superhandsome 6'6" Matt Targett (born 1985) is an Australian sprint freestyle and butterfly swimmer. He's known for his weightlifting and strength. In 2006 he was disqualified from a race for twitching before the starter's signal. Twitching! Sheesh they sure are picky. I think guys who get paid to run around shirtless all day should be treated more leniently. |
